Our club started in December 2020, since then we have been meeting every Saturday through an online video meeting. We have 13 members, but 2 of our members are just 5 years old, so they don't come to all our meetings, but they definitely help to take care of the Earth. The rest of our group are between 6 and 9 years old. Some weeks we all come, but not everyone can make it every week, and that's ok.
Each week we take turns to choose a new topic that we care about, we research it with our parents and then make a presentation to share with our Earth Club friends the next week. Some weeks we invite guest speakers to come and share a topic with us too.
So far we have learnt about the rainforests, sustainable fashion, plastic pollution, the importance of bees, how our diet effects the environment, air pollution, water, migration of animals, what we can do with recycled materials, and so much more.
Every week we share at least one storybook together and we think together of an action we can take to try and help the environment.
We've celebrated Earth Hour, Arbour Day, and World Water day together. Between us, we have made petitions, pariticapted in National Bird Research Studies, written to David Attenborough, convinced our families to buy less plastic, and some of us even tried going vegetarian for a week! Now we've even setting up our own website. In this website you can find out more about what we have learnt together, and we'll keep adding to it as we learn more.
We hope you like it.

We have tried hard to make sure that we have said thank you to all the people who have given us information, written the books that we've read, or made the resources that we have used, but please tell us if we forgot to thank you. Also, we have tried to make sure the everything we have put on our website is accurate, but if we got something wrong, please tell us that too!

π’π Dear Parents, there are lots of links in this website to other websites. Please help your children to navigate these websites. We are only recommending the links and stories that we post, we can't recommend any of the other resources that these links might bring you on to afterwards. Thank you for helping your children to help the Earth! ππ’
